How do these relatively small pirate vessels sneak up and capture large cargo ships?
Why don’t the ship owners hire security forces to deal with such situations?
I don’t know who is giving the thumbs down.
Small boats/dinghys – hard to see/do not show on radar
No real lookout on the cargo ships.
No security forces because of the cost, insurance pays if hijacked for ransom, some ports will not allow ships in port with weapons/armed personnel on board, etc.
