Question about crate for German shorthair?
I have not gotten my female German short hair pointer but info says 21 to 23 at the withers. I shopped for crate for her and shows measurements.Do I go by these measurements on label as the withers or add some?Thanks
Well the withers isnt her head, so I would get a little bigger cage. Make sure though, when you get the crate that it isnt so big that she cant eliminate at one end and still have enough room to sleep in the other. Usually cages come with a blocker that goes in the middle of the cage to block off the extra space so that when you have the puppy, you can gradually make the space bigger according to her size and when she’s full grown you can probably take the entire thing off.
